I love how science is catching up to science fiction.  The singularity is really giving science time to catch up.  The stuff I read in comics and see in movies is only a little ways off now.  Tech like IM conversations on led screens in contacts (Doktor Sleepless) and 3d interactive holograms (Iron Man movie) and possibly even a Matrix like internet or game (second life style).  People should be aware that the future will never be quite what is predicted.  Just look at the worlds fairs of past and their ideas of the future like the Jetsons cartoon show.  They all predicted a certain future in a short period of time.  The present people never quite know how long a certain tech will take to mature and become common place (computers during the 80’s).  I look forward to the future with and open mind and open eyes for I know there will be some amazing ideas, styles, sights, experiences, and technologies.  If there is one thing to learn from science fiction is to be optimistic.
